celebrates not only the New Year but its one year
anniversary of "going green"! That's right folks,
it's been a year now since we went digital with our
monthly Newsletter, published in collaboration with
CSDS's website. Feedback has been nothing but positive for both
and we continue to welcome your comments, suggestions,

Looking ahead .... CSDS promises 2009
to be another year of fabulous dance opportunities ~ mark your
calendars for the first-time visit of national pro Jason
Barnes in February and the return of C'ville native and
national pro Patti Jobst in April. Jason and Patti
will both give workshops and private lessons. Stay tuned
for more information to come!
We hope you have a wonderful holiday season and Happy New
Year and look forward to seeing you on the dance floor and
elsewhere in 2009!
Swing Swap Resumes
January 8th!!

2009 Admission Prices Increase By
$1
Starting with our
January dance, admission prices will increase by $1.
This is the first increase in maaanny years and is necessary
for CSDS to continue to put on our monthly dances and
other events. The new admission prices are:
$10
Members
$13
Non-Members
$7 Students with
ID
Membership dues will remain the same
at $15/year. If you are not a member, we encourage
you to become a member to support our all-volunteer run
club! Memberships Forms are available here. Thank
you for your support!

| Highlights from the
Holiday Dance
DJ Santa Kristin
Wenger jingled our bells and rocked our toes using CSDS's
new sound system at our annual December Holiday
Dance! Santa Kristin also packed 'em in during the
pre-dance lessons in Nightclub 2-Step ~ it was standing
room only! We extend our thanks to Ginny
Larson and her herd of reindeer, I mean volunteers,
who spent part of the afternoon decorating the dance hall, and
to all of you who attended and brought dishes to share.
That's the holiday spirit!

Practice?! Come to Swing
Swap!
CSDS's FREE Weekly Dance Practice
CSDS hosts a FREE weekly
dance practice called Swing Swap*!! If you
are like most people, you need to practice what you learn in
dance class in order to retain it so come on out and practice
your new moves while they are fresh in your mind so they can
become a permanent part of your dance repertoire! Swing
Swap is held on Thursdays* from 7:30 - 9 pm at the Murray High School Gym. DJ Lisa
Morales plays a variety of music ~ East Coast Swing, West
Coast Swing, Hustle, Nightclub 2-Step, Country 2-Step, Cha
Cha, Waltz, etc. Swing Swap is a relaxed and friendly
atmosphere for practice. All are welcome, with or
without partners, any level of experience!

Hotline (434-980-2744) for cancellations, change in venue,
etc. especially during inclement weather.
